Malware is the new scourge of the Internet. It seems to be everywhere. Just by normally browsing the Internet they can jump on your computer and once inside KATY BAR THE DOOR, they invite their friends to come in.
There are a number of programs that have been developed to scan your computer specifically for malware and many of them are good. Malwarebytes is one of the best.

It is a superb anti malware program updated very often by people dedicated to the ongoing battle of good versus evil in the world of the Internet.
Malwarebytes can be downloaded as a free program in its home version with full capabilities, nothing held back. After it downloads, it will update itself (remember it is an ongoing battle) and scan your computer revealing unseen malware including many Zero Day exploits (brand new never before seen malware). After the completed scan it will invite you to quarantine the malware imposing isolation on them and restricting their activity. Those identified but hiding in locked closets (so to speak) are then quarantined on reboot.
Malwarebytes does an excellent but imperfect job because it is a daily battle between the programmers of malware and the programmers of anti malware. Getting a second opinion is recommended. If both programs agree that your computer is clean, then you can rest assured that you most probably are.
Get Malwarebytes here. At the top click “Home” if you just want the free one. But know the difference. The free one is an “after the fact”cleaner. It does not proactively stop malware from getting into your computer. You should at least get the free one and check your computer now for existing invisible malware.
